Structural Framing Created in Revit 2026 won't Join

Hi, I tried to create a new structural framing family in 2026,

but even with the same settings I referenced from the post,

it still didn't automatically join to other structural elements in the same material,

* This problem can easily replicate by creating a new family from Family Templates in Revit 2026

Using your method of the 2026 Beam & Bracing Family

All I did was edit the Visibility Settings ensuring they were set for ALL details levels and set the Material Parameter the same and it works as expected.

The thinner beams are the new Family/Beam and automatically cleans up!

The interesting difference with the OOTB Concrete Beam and the Beam & Brace Family is that one is a Sweep and the other an Extrusion, respectively so this could be difference from 2017 and 2026 in how beam families were created?

Personally I would always use and existing family with everything in place and then save it with my changes as I knew it worked from the outset.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I've checked the material and detail visibility, but still not works as expected,

below is my workaround to acheive the joined result like in your screenshot:

looks like the family I created from framing Beam and Brace template needs additional effort to manually join each frames...

unlike the ealier version which will automatically join the overlapped elements

I cannot repeat this sorry and works as expected here with autojoin, here is my example;

I suggest starting with the Concrete Beam Family and using this as a base
