Structural foundations material not showing in Section

Created Structural foundations in place and assigned them all concrete. Unlike a wall element, the hatch pattern here doesn't seem to show in section. I need to be able to see the hatch so that it appears correctly when linked into a central file.

Have you checked the cut pattern for your material

Why is it an in place model family and not a system family?  Did you edit the in place family and assign the material to the extrusion?

I created it by modeling in-place, because this seemed like the best workflow for allowing me to adjust the footing depths later.
