structural column's weird lines in 3d view

Hello everyone...!

st cl.PNG

The above image shows the structural column placed in the wall between the plastering thicknesses, theoretically i was expecting a clean wall in the 3d view but still the column's lines were visible. Some times when i export to pngs thees kind of lines would disappear but unfortunately in this case it is not happening as i shown in the bellow image.

can anyone please help me in this and need suggestion on whether i should place columns in the architectural model or in a separate model.

Thank you

I guess it depends on the extent of the structural model.

If its just a few columns etc then its not a problem to have them in the Architectural model, just turn them off where you don't want to see them.

To be honest, it is better to model them in a separate structural model and link that in, especially if you have lots of columns, beams, footings  etc

Looks like what happens to me when I zoom extents on a beam system that is covered by a single sheathing layer. The beams show through the sheathing.  But if I zoom in closer, the beams are hidden by the sheathing -- as they should be.  This is a known issue.  Hide your Columns in the 3D view where they aren't visible anyways.

Known issue with seeing through thin layers. Just hide or turn the columns off.
