Structural Beams - Double Lines Instead Of Single Lines

Working on a job where structural beams will show up as double lines instead of single lines. I've been through several forums and done enough homework so I have already crossed out the most obvious answers.

-I've changed from Fine/Medium to Course in both the View and Visual Graphics

-I've Checked the beam families for a Symbolic line but also I had two Identical beams one showing as double lines and the other showing the single line so I'm sure it wasn't anything to do with the families.

-I've played around with the view range

-I've changed the Discipline

The only way I've managed to fix the problem on the two identical beams was I simply deleted the one showing double lines and copied the single line in its place but now we have a plan showing ALL of the beams as double lines. So any suggestions outside the typical solutions would be great!

Thanks in Advance

Share the beam family that gives you the trouble.

Its multiple Families and its the Wide Flange Families that come with the program. This is a new problem for us so unless the original family was messed with outside of a job I don't see the issue being with the family itself.

The beam seems normal.  If you create a new plan view or structural plan view from the View menu (untick Do not duplicate existing view), and set the new view to Coarse, then how are the beam looking?

Ok after creating a new structural view the beams came out looking the way they should. The only beams showing as a double line are set at an angle so I'm guessing this would have something to do with the View Range?

Is there a way to change the angled beams to single line?

I can't replicate.  All beams show as single lines whether they are flat, sloped, flat + rotated profile, sloped + rotated profile.

Could it have something to do with it being connected to the columns? it runs diagonal between two columns and i have it cut at both ends where it meets.

I copied over another beam and put it at the same level and same slope (red circle) and it shows correctly the only difference is no columns.

How did you cut the beam?  I used the coping tool on the structure ribbon and the cut beam show as single line still.

Is the a graphics issue in the Family or the Project?  The way I read it, the issue is happening in your Project/View. Can you post that RVT?

In the family you posted, there are 2 parallel dashed symbolic lines in plan view. They are visible in Medium and Fine views Plan Views only.  Is this what you are talking about? As far as a single line you mention,  your family's Symbolic Representation is set to From Project Settings, so that single line would be the in-built Stick Symbol that displays in Course view.  Nothing else is visible in Course View.
