Rope Lighting? Check online. I think I've downloaded such a family before.

Yahoo! Look what Google found in less than 1 second.  I think this search engine may catch on.

....I have been using families from revitcity.com from time to time

and offcourse first thing to do is googleing in less than a "nanosecond"...

but this rope light you are saying doesn't look right when rendered.

I have just created a family !

I'm getting there....

I just thought someone already created a realistic family for that matter and were willing to share it

Yep, I see what you mean. Not a perfect family, but I needed only to make one change to get it to get it to render properly. I just changed the nested Light Source Family in it (Small Light.rfa) to a Shared family.  Reloaded and Rendered. Voila! I was Blinded by the Light - Revved up like a deuce - Another runner in the night.  Smiley Wink

As far as whether or not it is to your satisfaction, that will be determined by your rendering settings, your rendering materials and your Light Source Definition (perhaps, you change it to use a Manufacturer's IES file).

Good luck.

Really@aRcHiTeCt.JM???  That's the Solution???!  "I have modified a family getting the result I was waiting for."

What family? The one I provided you? The one I explained how to adjust to produce the effect you wanted?  That one?

... Yes ...really !!

... NO, never the one provided by you

... that light is useless for my project

... the one modified by me after many tryings

..... even if you don't like it, that is working perfectly for me

.... and I don't need to write bigger , bold letters to explain it

WOW!!!  Why don't you just go through every thread you ever authored on this forum, and mark all your own posts that were part of that conversation?  In fact, why don't you start a new thread today? We can have a back and forth discussion.  Imagine all the lil' green check marks you could rack up then.  Let's do it! I'll help you break the record for the most solution credits in one day.

...naw; nevermind. That might diminish your credibility.
