Strange Revit Structural Beam Display Bug

This is a reflected ceiling plan. In the model, the vertical beam here is above the horizontal beam. However, in-plan the vertical beam is always showing below the horizontal beam

When you select the vertical beam,  the graphics correct

When you deselect, it remains correct.

Then you scroll a single click, or pan the view by a pixel:

In the model, it always displays correctly.

Ideas?

Bonus points if anyone knows how to make that black centerline disappear in plan views as well. How and when Revit chooses to display it is absolutely beyond me, but I never want it there.

could be a view range issue - and also what discipline the view is set at. can you post a sample model of this?
