'storing' formulas

is it possible to 'store' commonly used formulas?  i.e.  roof slope for a detail item:

Another example, I've been working on a residential project adding cabinetry.  I've been able to 'master' the traditional vs full overlay of the cabinet doors/drawers using formula(s).  would like to 'store' the parameter/formula someplace where I can insert it into the family.  

any clues/ideas?

TIP: I like to "store" this information in the Tool Tips assigned to the Shared Parameters used in the Formulas.
