I am wondering why after all the posts I have seen related to missing content libraries that there is still an issue when I install the program 3 months later?
I have installed all updates and still I do not have content libraries .... I never use Autodesk products when they first are introduced because I realize there will be issues. But after this much time? Still installation bugs.
It appears that this is a partial installation, I am missing the standard templates as well and more things as I look thru the directory. Is there an easy fix? I mean like maybe a complete file for the installation?

I downloaded and installed from my Autodesk account. Twice now several months apart. I instantly get path errors when starting 2017. I am just going to go back to 2016 for now. I do not have the time to try to solve these kinds of issues.
for anyone having this issue. Contact autodesk and they will provide you with the needed files to complete the content ... I'm still unsure why the install files haven't been repaired.

So, I install my files from my Autodesk account "Virtual Agent" and it didn't provide the complete content. Autodesk has since provided me with the data I needed and all is well.
I appreciate that it was all my fault and that Autodesk shares no blame .... Thanks for the assistance R.D.AOU.
Sign in to your autodesk account.
In the upper right corner is a support pull down.
Select "view my support cases"
Then "create case".
Autodesk provided a link to download and install the missing content.
That was meant for the avoidance of doubt and not to get new forum visitors confused...Virtual Agent has nothing to do with your or any users account/account management. (It is a hub provided by Autodesk to allow users to download the installation files complete with or without an account in order to carry out installation locally in the event dlm and/or webinstall fails) in other words those are the same files they sent u
also for the avoidance of doubt ... Opening up a support case/ticket, extended maintenance and/or scheduling a call with adsk support are not accessible to all users. That depends on the type of account/subscription example: educational accounts don't get any of the above services (in case an educator or student runs across this thread...)

All Autodesk sent was the information required to complete the file structure. The info (folders and data) required under the RLT 2017 folder, so as stated originally the "content." I didn't have to reinstall or update or repair the install.
I have an EDU license for Revit and don't have the option to contact anyone for support. Would you be able to make the info publicly available? I've tried installing on two machines and no joy - content libraries refuse to install.
Thanks!
A.
