Standard Text Cursor missing in schedule field

When clicking a line of an element in a field of a schedule, the exterior box profile of the rectangle highlights, but the standard text cursor to help typing is not showing.  When I have a word, or combination of words, that I want to edit, the standard cursor that you see in programs like Outlook helps, but since it is not showing here in Revit it makes the input of values and the editing difficult.

I am assuming might be a setting somewhere that I need to set for the cursor to appear. 

Any advise how to make it show?

PS Just found out that when the Schedule View is "Zoomed In" (i.e., making it bigger) the cursor then shows up.  So it appears that it does not shows up only when the scale is small.  So this solves the issue, partially, read on...

I wonder if there is still a setting that will show the cursor when the scale is smaller or normal.
