I created a stair in a project and there I can take spot elevations on the landings.

When insert the stairs as linked file the spot elevations doesn't work.

Thank you,

I opened your Project Host model and the Linked Stairs with Spot Elevation worked fine.

Can you expand on what the exact issue is?

Same I have no issue with Revit 2021. If you pick the edge of the stair, the spot elevation should appear. If you pick any of the landing surface, this is where the spot elevation will not appear.

Hi Jay and thank you for your answer,

On the edges it works fine but on the landing area it doesn't work.

Its fine here you have to pick an edge mind!  Be careful as there is a small step between the landing and the stringer

If you want the spot to pick the surface of the stair, you have to add those spot elevation in the link model. Afterward you can use the link by view and it will show stair with the spot elevation.

I'm officially stumped. This is very very strange behavior.  I'd open a support ticket on it, unless someone comes along with a solution.

Screenshot shows that I duplicated both the right and left stair in the Link file, reloaded into Parent and Revit will not recognize the left two stairs landing elevations at all. But Revit does recognize the right two.  WTH.  They are all identical!

Hi  barthbradley,

Thank you for your answer, I appreciate to see at this problem.

I think the problem is the kind of stair that I use (only one piece) when I make that with different landings it works right.

Hi  syman2000,

Thanks for your answer,

This can be a good workaround but it is not the solution that I am looking for.
