The architect I am working for would like these stairs to show up correctly in the model and I cannot get them to work properly. We do not want a tread at the top, since stairs aren't actually built this way, the top "tread" would be the floor. so I want the stairs to end with a riser. But when I select the run and tell it to end in a riser, instead of getting rid of the tread and ending in a riser, it just adds a riser on top of my stair. Obviously this is incorrect. How do I get this to work like it actually should? (see attached image)
The way that I have made that work in the past is to put in 1 less riser then check the button and it adds the missing riser.
Maybe someone can tell us hoe to set it up to do that automatically. I have seen posts about it but I have not been able to follow them.

In the example above I didn't need to do what you said. Revit did all the jobs automatically.
I do not have a top offset on the stairs.
As a workaround I removed the top riser, but I would like to know how to set this up correctly without having to manually remove one.
