Stairs not calculating risers properly?

As seen in the attached image, I have my stairs set with risers max to 7". In the image you can see the stairs are coming in at 7 1/4". The properties panel is puting out information that 'actual riser height is 7 85/256" ' Why would this ever be the case? What is the easiest way to limit risers to the actual quantity put into the 'riser max'?

select the dimension and go to edit type and change the unit formate as per use project setting

You only show the 7" max in the NAME of the stairs type , not the actual settings of the Run. Show the Run definitions and see if it is actually set to 7" max.
