Hello,
I have a question about staircase handrail.
I made a stair by " Stair by Sketch".
The handrail was not horizontal at the turning position.
What is the reason so that i can to modify?
Thanks a lot!
Welcome to the wonderful world of Revit railings!
This is the closest that we can get -
Some points to mention - please look at the highlighted portions of the handrail. To edit, Tab-click to select the handrail, click Edit Type, and edit the Default Join and the Fillet Radius
Also - take a look at the highlighted portion of the stringers. You would need to move the stair runs to allow the stringers to be horizontal.
Thanks for your post, your problem here is a basic geometry issue.
The goose-neck is created because the rail cannot resolve the geometry at the junction and by default the railing will cause the goose-neck (the vertical rail) to avoid the goose-neck you can either
Hope this helps
A clean handrail is normal accomplished by adding transition segments to the rail to allow the sweep to turn more smoothly. For example, add a horizontal segment when the slope change direction. The ideal clean sweep is that every two adjacent segments should be on a single plane.
