There used to be a way to modify the stair stringer channels to extend at the top and bottom as shown below. Is this still possible? I can't do it in Revit anymore.

That was only available for stair by sketch in older version of Revit. Now, you have to create a solid mass to cut them, or create custom tread/riser profile and set them back, or model the support as structural frame and cut them.
