stair- problem with views

Hi,

I have a problem: I have stairs that go up to 5 floors with landing at each floor. When I try to view the stairs at the bottom floor it shows me the whole stairs (up to the last landing). What can I do? The view range is OK, and the visability graphics are fine too.

Another question- Is there any way to show the formula that was used to calculate the stair height?

Thanks!

Amit

Are you talking about the <Above> linework? Turn it off then.  BTW, do you see a cut line in the view?

Did you draw one stair from ground to 5? Try a stair spans one level and make it a multi-story stair or copy it to other levels.

It's turned off...

I'm attaching a picture of the stairs. The floor is the ground floor, but I see the top landing and stairs...

It can't be multi-level as each level is a bit different...

Do you have stairs linked in as well? If all your  "<Above>"s (under Stairs and Railings) are turned of in VG, there shouldn't be dashed line in the view above the break line. Additionally confounding is where the heck is the second, dashed break line coming from? I'm thinking Link, and that Link is set to "By Linked View".

How'd I do?
