Stair Landing Connection Linework

Hi, to avoid the strange triangular gap I've encountered in the past between the top of stair and landing (underside) I've discovered that by adding a small landing (approx a foot) this creates a clean joint between the stair and landing.

However on plan and section the landing brings with it some additional lines (See attached images) I know that I can use the linework tool. However most of our projects are 30+ levels....

Attempts:

  • I've tried to create a filter for the landings however it doesn't work (landings are a system family)
  • I've tried the linework tool on one level and then apply the multistorey tool to see if it copies the linework adjustments, however it wont work.
  • I cant use the join geometry tool (stairs will not join with anything)

Is there a way to automatically hide these landing lines ?

Yes, this method without the added landing on top works, however you are still left with the triangular gap underneath which Is the reason for the 1 FT landing on top. We don't model stair landings and use floors.

By adding a landing to the top of the stairs It joins the landing better, and looks like this:

But the only issue is the visible landing line work.

It is not what I have done...no linework involved in the entire process.

  1. I Used Export to convert the multistory stairs to a ACIS Solid >>
  2. Hid the Multistory stairs for future editing purposes
  3. Imported the solid stair into an in-place generic model
  4. Used Join Geometry

See attached 2022 Model attached if you want to see how it works
