I'm creating a custom Spot Elevation Symbol to call up ceiling heights in sections and I would like to add a thicker line for the box around the text. I'm just using linework in the spot elevation -target Filled.rfa family. Is there a way I can make the line thicker? Here is what I have so far and it works fine except for the thin border around the text. Please advise. Thanks.
It looks better in Revit and pdf but I would still like to have a thicker line around the text.

Thanks I was hoping I could just find a way to create another linestyle with a thicker line weight or import some other generic annotation family with the ability to change the line weight.
It's not surprising that Autodesk gets flack from clients that want to customize their drawings. It's a little frustrating for me as well. You can't even say it's a relatively new product anymore. I've been using it since 2005 and I speak it's praises but sometimes it's difficult.
Thanks for the quick responses here on this forum. You seem to be the first person to respond to most of my threads. I appreciate it.

PS - stay tuned I'm gonna have some more questions. ![]()
And you seem to always take the first suggestion given regardless if the op question is doable or not...GA Text/Dashes to thicken the lines...I have to admit wouldn't have thought of it
Wouldn't it have been easier to use a 1mm Filled region and save yourself the nested Generic and the Text Gap when Annotation flips?

I didn't see a second suggestion here? I also did not use the suggestion as I wanted a heavier line around the whole box and opted to keep the thin line. If it can't be done, it can't be done. Seems silly to not to be able to change a line weight inside a tag family, but whatever. ![]()
I guess I could try the filled region. I do not want it that thick and may have to create a parameter to control it but if the client wants it thicker I will give it a try. Thank you.
