Spot Elevation hosting issue

Anyone ever experience copying a spot elevation from one component to another...and the original host element moves with the copied spot elevation? (and then an error throws that the original spot elevation has to be deleted because it doesn't have a host anymore).

Is the spot elevation ties to link model? I had this issue constantly whenever I made changes to the link model.

no links, I have two generic models next to one another. Place a spot elevation on one, then copy it to the next and the generic model moves with it. Tried on multiple computers in different models, so I think it has to do with the component. Any thoughts?

I don't think I ever had a similar issue.  Can you post something to test?
