Spot elevation - gap between element and leader

Hello

I want to create an spot elevation where there is a gap between the element and the leader. I can't find a proper way to do this.

this is what I would want:

Right now I'm doing this by setting the leader to white and adding a dashed line in my symbol family. However this isn't the best way because the white leaders overwrites the dashed line.

Anyone has a way to solve this?

Thanks,

Kind regards

I think you are on the good way, just nudge your dashed line in family up a bit (click on the line and press arrow key on the keyboard)

Hey,

Apologies for commenting on an old post, but perhaps this helps others...

However this isn't the best way because the white leaders overwrites the dashed line.

If you turn on the reference planes in the family you can see that you can shunt the symbol off to the right and extent the line, so it isn't covered by the leader.

Obviously you then need to adjust the elevation text alignment.

Warning:  When loading the adjusted family into a view with placed instances Revit shut the window.  The placed instances had to be replaced.

Hope that's of interest,

Mark
