Split wall sweeps - Wall sweep on end of wall?

Is there a way to break a wall sweep when it continues past another wall without breaking the wall? Or a way to apply a sweep to the end of a wall? I am modeling them separately instead of including them in the wall to cut down on wall types. I'm considering abandoning them all together in favor of an in-place component. Thanks.

If you place the sweeps by the sweep tool (under "Wall",  "Wall: Sweep") you can do something. Basically place two sweeps  and then shorten them both

As example the attached screenshot with two sweeps (here at different height), where you can see the blue dot to shorten/lengthen the sweep.

Do this for both sweeps

Further I would not make it with an in-place component. In general I always will use a family. I only use in-place families for rare occassions and when

only one/few instances needed.

Depending on my project requirements I would create a (generic model) family or I would use something like a thin wall to stick it to the other wall.

Thanks! What about the ends of walls? I was thinking about creating a small dummy wall to host the sweep.

You can do this with the same sweep, and cut it around the corner. Use the modify returns tool for this

Nice.

But one thing leads to another. I'm getting "Could not create Wall Sweep. Two wall sweeps are overlapping." I tried creating them at different heights and adjusting their lengths, then moving them into place. But the length resets when i'm moving it.

Also, I have a wall extending into a kitchen, it separates the table from the rest of it. I cannot seem to put a sweep on both sides of the wall. I can if I create a new one, but they don't clean up.

Thank you for your time, I appreciate it.

Maybe you can show what you mean with what you describe in the first paragraph.

I can easily place them on both sides and have them cleanup
