Split project & family browser

Please please please can Autodesk split the project browser so families and views are separate.
There's a few paid apps out there so we know it can be done. The paid apps always go a little further with buttons & folders, but I don't need all these wiz bang bits & bobs. Just a separate family browser will do.
All I want is to scroll through views, legends, schedules & sheets in one browser whilst scrolling a separate browser for families & groups.

Also, while I'm at it, when we select the - button for a category, can this minimise all the families & types.. In one swift click!
Currently you can minimise a category but sub families & types remain maximised.

If these items could be introduced in the 2017 release I think there'd be some very happy users out there.

Hi laurenk,

Thanks a lot for the good feedback. I have reported this wishlist to development team and hope there could be some improvement in future design.

I would also encourage you that report wish list here:

You can use the form in the link to tell us what you think about our products, the features, and any improvements you would like to see. Then related people will read all the feedback recieved and take what our customers have to say very seriously.

Thanks.

Thanks Ianl.
Ive submitted this as feedback and hope the product designers listen.
It's the small, everyday features that make a difference in user experience.
I've started to get RSI in my mouse hand and part of this, I feel, is due to scrolling up & down the browser.
These small changes would not only improve the our perception of the product but the health of those using it for many hours per day.

I submitted a similar one to the wishlist several years back.  Basically I have asked Autodesk to introduce Tabs to the Revit Project Browser, one for Views, one for Sheets, and one for Families.  That would make navigating the browser much easier and quicker, especially for large project.  AutoCAD Sheet Set manager and AutoCAD Architectural Project Navigator have already had them for years.

I hope yours make it to their ears.
