Split Lines. Slopes, Snapping etc.

Is there any way to asign a slope to roof areas where split lines are used to break the roof into separate segments?

I'm able to manipulate the points to get close but slopes would be ideal to simulate tapered insulation slopes.

So, since couldn't figure out a way to actually define a slope decided to use construction lines to to snap the points to. But it appears that the points created by split lines don't like snapping to external geometry.

Anyone have any insight into a good way to handle these situations?

Hey Vitor.

Yeah I stumbled on that earlier and was helpful with actually constructing the split lines.

But that doesn't really help with the issue at hand. At least I don't think so.

I'm not able to "grab" and "move" any of the points when in modify sub element views.

Seems like I should be able to drag them around rather than needing to create additional ones and delete the ones I just want to move..... correct?

I can select this point and edit the elevation (numerical entry) but I can't grab it and move it around

Similarly in this section which is really what I want to do..... grab it and snap it to an endpoint of the red line so I can accurately define the slope. Note that this red line is exaggerated from the slope I really want to accomplish but it's just to evaluate whether or not I can do it.

Sub-elements points can be moved (window select it and use Move tool) and can be snapped to reference planes.   I do it all the times.

Dang! Hard to believe I've been beating my head against that one for so long lol. For whatever reason I was trying to treat those points as a grip that I could click on and move. Simply by using the move tool all my issues went away.

Thanks for taking the time to set me straight on this.
