Is there an easy way (of course not) to split a floor slab so that I can change the thickness of the other half?
I'm working on a project that is 95% complete, and now the client wants half of the building to have a thicker floor slab. The slab is utilizing slab edges and has a ton of dimensions... so changing the sketch would be nearly deleting my entire foundation plan. There has to be an easy way to change the thickness of half of an already existing floor slab... right?
- Copy the 6" floor to clipboard
- Edit footprint of the 6" to create one half
- Paste aligned in place
- Change to 8" floor type
- Edit footprint of the 8" floor to create another half

Easy and fast? Convert to parts >> divide the layer you want to thicken and make it thicker using its shape handles
