Is there any option to split face of a curve wall so that we will paint segment wise. Please see my attached snap.
Hi!
You can split the wall by using creating Parts and attach to them any material.
I am not sure that splitting wall or even Parts do split a Face ...they could split a Layer or wall with a certain thickness.
If you want to split a Face and apply a paint without thickness then you must find something else...
I use sometimes a workaround for this situation , making an In Place Mass -Surface that wraps the wall . This Surface can be slitted and can receive different materials textures.
The problem with this Face is that being in same position with the wall face , Revit have problems in showing the maps ( these are well known problems).
The solution can be solved by slightly offsetting the Mass Face element....

Well, with parts it's at least faster.
But, in this case , why you don't just simple split the wall into more walls?
Am I wrong or the Parts ,in this case, could not split but vertically?
Why then, not use very thin Wall by Face placed on a curved face made by an In Place Mass? It allows not only Vertical , but also , in certain degree non vertical edges.....

You can divide part vertical, horizontal, or diagonal easily using Intersecting References with Grids, Levels, or Reference planes. The benefit of using parts instead of using multiple adjoining walls is that you can show it differently from one drawing to another. For example you only need to show parts on Finish drawings and show the original wall on Architectural drawings. Plus other things such as geometry consistency, penetrations, scheduling, etc...
all right , all right , that's true ...even I am not a fan of Parts I admit that in practice this is OK! ...but you know , the original question was about splitting a Face ...and a face has no thickness ...that's what I wanted to show in my first post....Theoretical...
.A very thin layer using Parts will solve indeed.it in practice and can be scheduled too...as you said...
