Special Character in Family Type Name causes error

Special character in type name causing fill pattern not to show up.

I'm trying to apply solid fill to wall element. However whenever I have family type name that starts with left bracket "(" + a letter "a", -i.e. (A)ALC100 or (a) then no fill pattern is applied to these elements. (See the image 1 and image 2.)

It is specific combination of letters causing this behaviour and right now it is just "(A" and "(C" (case not sensitive).

This left bracket isn't under parameter name limitation listed here (Parameter Name Limitation)

Is there anyway to solve this other than to avoid this combination of letters in the type name?

It is quite common in my office to have family type names to start with left bracket. It will be great if anyone could show me the cause of error and the solution.

It's likely you have a filter to exclude wall types with () from having a solid poche.

Mr. Bradley -> Thank you for your response. I'm using Revit 2017. I just tested on Revit 2019 and it worked fine. I believe this problem is fixed on newer versions. My company is still using 2017 but will be upgrading to 2019 soon so I will implement short term solution for now.

Mr.ToanDN -> Thank you for your reply. If it's possible, could you elaborate your advice slightly more. For example, where can i check whether I have filter patterns to filter out the solid porche as you have mentioned. If I can resolve the problem in Revit 2017 it will be even better as a solution.

What @ToanDN was describing, is also mentioned in that Link I posted.  Essentially,  a rule-based Filter could be  controlling the graphical representation of that "(A)" wall in the View. Easy enough to verify. Look on the Filters Tab in Visibility/Graphics Overrides.  Got Filters?  This is only one of many possible ways to override element graphics.  The Link I posted describes others.

@barthbradley  and @ToanDN  -> Thank you. It was overwrite filter that was causing this behaviour. There was filter pattern for "(a" + "(a)" + "(c" + "(c)" to appear in specific fill pattern. Sorry I should have read your answer and documentation more carefully. Again Thank you for all the help!!
