Hello,
I am a student working with Revit for a thesis about energy efficiency. I need to perform an energy simulation (for which I will use Green Building Studio.
To do this I will have to make Spaces and assign them with a Space Type. However, in the list with possible Space Types I can only find things like: courthouse, hotel, gym, ... But nothing for a domestic building.
Is this to be imported from somewhere or do I need to look at it a different way?
Thanks in advance!
Karel

There should be a type called Single Family. See attached.
Yes I selected this as the building type. But then there are also "Space Types" that need to be specified. The list for this in Revit shows all types of rooms for public buildings like "dining area - office" or something. But none for rooms of domestic buildings.. Should I add these myself?
Thanks in advance
For a domestic building/housing, the space type is just all basically considered the same. "Domestic". Yes technically there are different "spaces" within that, but in terms of energy analysis it makes no difference. In a commercial setting where the spaces might be much larger, or have significantly different operating schedules and occupancies, the different space classifications make a difference in the energy performance of the building as a whole. If your building is all domestic dwelling units, that is the space type.
I see.
The closest space type is "dormitory -sleeping area"
