Hi everyone. Maybe someone has an idea on how to fix this issue.
Working on a central file that is saved on our server.
We have rooms in the project that we have split in spaces with space separator.
After synchronizing the space separator acts as room boundaries.
We are not sure what might cause this issue.
Works as expected here...are you sure you are not confusing Room with Space separators'?

First screenshot with a selected room tag and the red line around the are that it reads as a room.
Second screenshot with a selected space separator.
I am sure.
I am unable to tell much from those images
Or even better...apply a color scheme By Room Name to show a clearer picture of room extents

Nope...I haven't been using 2020 for a while but I've just double checked and rooms are not bound by Space separators

The only room bounding elements that I use is the ARK linked file.
This is how it looks like after enabling Interior fill and Reference in visibility and graphics
There is Architects room in grey, ours with black.
It should not be room bound, but for some odd reason it happens in all the rooms after sync.
Then open the architectural link and check the bounding elements therein...I bet you will find a room separator there

But there is no way that the Architect placed Room separators in all those places exactly as our Space separators.
Only you have access to the model and the linked models. I cannot tell from my end what is in there.

It is the space separator because when deleting it the room goes back to the proper area.
And the space separations initially worked well. It is only when my colleague is using the project and syncs, that the rooms get bound by the Space separators. So the issue/bug is coming from elsewhere.
If you delete a space separator, is the room changed?
Can you tag linked rooms instead of recreate them?
This has been posted about in at least three other threads that I personally participated in. It could very well be a bug - or, at minimum, a fluke. You might want to open a Support Case on this. If you do, please let us know outcome.
Following...
Yes, if I delete it the room is bound by walls again.
Then I can place a space separator again without any problems.
