Some type images in schedule show in Revit, but not on PDF

For many families I show an image of the product in the schedule. All is fine in Revit. BUT on PDF, some images show, some don't. Initially I thought it is related to file type (png etc.). but some PNG work, some don't.

Here my PDF export settings:

Here the schedule in Revit:

and here on PDF (highlighted missing images). The 4 top types are the very same family and the very same image file (jpg in this case)

is there some setting or something else that causes this? This happens with a variety of families and seems random. The images come from manufacturer websites or screenshotted from data sheets. But all work in Revit...

It seems to work with printing to Bluebeam. BUT BB messes up Titleblock etc. So, BB isn't a solution either.

Edit: I changed "Raster quality" to "Presentation" to no avail. Still the same issue, except printing took ages.

I had " ignored" this issue for a few days since today I got an all new PC and also switched from W10 to W11. I was hoping a complete new install, hardware and different OS may fix some underlaying issues. Originally I didn't realize the R2025 file I downloaded today (!) didn't include the SP updates. That still had the same issue. Then I applied the updates (R2025.4.2) to no avail - still the same problem.

Ugggghhh

But then I installed R2026.1 and it works! This is from the very same project file (just upgraded to R2026) on PDF. Basically looks like in Revit. WYSIWYG.

Now I'm in a conundrum. I kind of have control over my Revit version and can use R2026. But I didn't really want to upgrade before the end of the year (to avoid any schema issues etc.) . On the other hand, R2026 clearly fixes a big issue for me. And unless I want to give up images in schedules, or spend days in a rabbit hole to get it to work (if even possible) in R2025, I kind of have to move up to R2026.
