Some schedule types dont have break, others dont have merge cells, help!

Hi,

I am using Revit Schedules to create general notes and charts, etc. as you do.

Problem is the ones I created, which have all the formatting tools (insert row, merge/unmerge etc) doesn't have schedule break handle on the sheets.

The other one, which I created from scratch following a tutorial, has a break, but doesn't have insert row (only insert data row) and doesn't have merge unmerge.

see attached the different ways they behave

Any help?

I seem to be jumping through some hoops here opening your png files.  Can you just post via "Photos" button?

The one with full text they type everything in the Title/Header rows.  There are no data rows to break.

AHA!

That makes so much sense now.

Is there a way to get the best of both worlds?

formatting and breaking?

Create the data field as a Multi-line text parameter, not regular text parameter, so that you can type in text content in a more humanly manner.  Insert one data row for each numbered note and you can break the table on sheet.  You cannot merger data rows/columns, only header, but I don't see any reason you need to if you use a Multi-line text parameter as mentioned above.
