Some of my rooms seem to be broken

Hi,

I am drafting a house now, and I was reviewing my plans, and notice that some of my rooms seem to be not filling up their rooms/room separations. See here where there seems to be in a large swath of the second floor the rooms are "broken" and in the second image, you can see even weirder that a single room is non-contiguous, which I have never encountered before. This outline is exactly the shape of the house that is on the existing site that is demolished in the demolition phase, and checked the view phase filter on this level, and everything is ok.

Any reason a building on a previous phase sould interfere with new room boundaries?

Do you the object in design option or hide view by element? Can you cut section so we can see the building clearly?

Appears to me that you have Rooms that are not enclosed. Create a Room Schedule, include "Area" parameter field and see if Rooms are reported as "Not Enclosed".  Is you find any, the simplest remedy is to delete them in the Schedule (via "Delete") and recreate the Room(s) in the Plan View.  Keep in mind that Room Separation Lines can serve as a room bounding element.

No. It is not that . For example, you can see the rooms on the bottom right and upper right that are fully surrounded by walls, but are limited to a part of the room. There are no room separtor lines there.

The outline directly pertains to the outline of the house that is there in the existing phase that is demolished in the demo phase, but somehow still is in the way in the completed stage

Hi,

If you're room is in a phase in which the walls in the other phase are not yet demolished then those walls will act as boundaries for you're rooms.

Example: Phase1, Phase2, Phase3 (1=oldest phase)

Walls in Phase1, demolished in Phase3

Room in Phase2 <= the walls stated above will act as boundary.

If the view phase is Phase2 and the filter is set to "Show New" then the walls in Phase1 won't be visible.

Check you're view phase and phase filter setting. (Show Complete or so, depending on function of view)

So check: in what phase is the Room, and in what phase created/demolished are the walls of the previous phases.

Note: Room boundary lines also have created/demolished phase

I just had the same problem. It seemed to be a glitch which I resolved by:

- Change the demolished interfering object to be demolished in the existing phase. Then change it back to being demolished. This seemed to fix the problem.

I use 3 phases

- Existing

- Demolition

- New Construction

Hope this helps. Painful glitch.
