I put this worktop family (a family we created a while ago and have been using on countless projects without issue) in a revit 2016 project using the correct floor plan a few days ago and it was in the correct place, but when i checked in section today it has sunk 805mm below the correct level. There is no offset and the family is correctly hosted on the floor.
A coworker has also had this issue in another project with other families in revit 2017 too.

It says Host is "Surface" rather than a level....how was the family built and how was it placed? Did the origin change in the family? Was it rehosted at some point?
D'oh! I never noticed the host said surface! Somehow the worktop had hosted itself on the underside surface of the building pad. Picking a new host and selecting the floor in a section fixed it.
Is there anything that can cause families to change host?
I placed families on a level and then later found they'd changed to be hosted on the slab. Does it occur if the boundary of the floor is altered?
