Hallo everyone,

i am trying to make only the last object at the edges to be connect to the last array object, i made it as a line based Family, that should work in both direction from the center of the length, i am just only struggling to solve these elements at the edges, any suggestions i will be very appriacted. thank you

i attached the source file just in case

Make the Left Ref. Plane the Origin Ref. Plane (not the Center).  Pin ONLY the Origin Ref. Plane.  Now the Array is Left to Right and you should be able to solve your dilemma.

hi @barthbradley , just made that to let the array starting from the center of the lenght and go to the right and left, was it unnessesery in this case ?

You have a lot of issues here.  First off, I would make the Starter and End Panels as separate parametric Families, Work Plane Based and nested into Line-Based Host Family and placed on Ref. Line.  Second, the Panel Family needs work...

I'll have to work with it and fix it and return it to you. It's too time-consuming to explain all that needs to be done.

Arrays move in one direction. Are you saying that you want to Array in 2 opposite directions outward from the center?  That's going take some work. Why go there?

Here. See attached.  Needs more work, but this unidirectional Array family should help you.

thanks for the answer @barthbradley, yes exactly this is how it should be. Array in 2 opposite directions outward from the center, and the rest panel at the left and the right are flexible in diminsion , so as if dividing the line from center array panels at the right and the rest will be made as extra panel at the right and same to the left. so the problem is that none of the rest panel is fixed in diminsion. the array starts from the middel with two panels, one at each side.

i tried many method, one on them to make the rest panels at right and left to be cutted by void extrusion but it wont be cut automaticly, when i change the length value.  any other stratgy should i used ?

thanks
