Solid .dwg hatch masks MEP element

I am currently having a problem with .dwg links into a Revit reflected ceiling view.

I have a .dwg file with solid hatches linked into a Revit reflected ceiling view and from within Revit the view shows normally, The .dwg is sent to the back and all of my Revit MEP elements are visible.

But as soon as I print the layout, the .dwg file jumps to the front and masks my Revit MEP elements.

Possible solutions I have already tried:

  1.  Printing to a different printer.
  2. Setting the visibility of the linked .dwg file to halftone.
  3. removed & re-linked in the .dwg file into the view
  4. changing the base offset of the link to the top view plane, above all my MEP elements.
  5. This dwg is a link in multiple views so there is no option to send to background as with "current view only" option.

The only way I can resolve this is to edit the .dwg to place all the solid hatches on its own layer and switching it off in the visibility graphics in the Revit view, But I do not want to make changes to the .dwg links.

I uploaded pics for reference

Does anybody know an alternative way or solution to this problem?

Thank you in advance for the help.

I cannot really find a great way in Revit to do this.

Placing the hatches on a new layer in the Cad file will actually be the best solution, then turn off the layer in Revit.
