Soft Shadows?

Can anyone give me any tips on how to generate softer shadows?  I've tried using different rendering settings but can't seem to get softer shadows.  I'm using Revit 2017 with a Nividia Quadro M4000. graphics card.  Any help is appreciated.

Hello @Anonymous and Happy Friday!

Well I have some updates from one of our product managers @kronz. Thank you!

His suggestion is as follows:

Use “Render”, not “render in the Cloud”, and make sure that the Lighting>Sun Setting is adjusted to something in the middle of the night (no direct sunlight).

Can you try Zach's tip and let us know if there is any difference?

I'm having the same issues. The shadows are just too black. We need them to be more transparent, I've tried everything above; sunlight settings, sun path, rendering settings, rendering in cloud and in Revit, light settings. There must be an easy fix to this? I appreciate your time in finding a solution.
