Hello, i have a question, how to make a custom family object to snap in the middle, in the pictures you can see how it snaps 21st horizontal grid line but i need it to snap directly on grid crosses like on 22nd horizontal grid line.

You need to add reference lines in the family and set them to define origin. That will set where you place the family from and allow you to snap to the middle

Do not use an adaptive family template for this.  Use a regular family template where you have center reference planes.  Yes you can add reference planes to the adaptive family but it wholeheartedly defeats the point of being adaptive.

Could you please specify how to set new reference lines to define the new center point? I can't seem to figure it out by myself.

Hi @Anonymous

You need to Define the Family Origin
After you create a component family, define the family origin and pin (lock) it in place. Later, when you create an element with the finished family, the family origin specifies the element insertion point. Using reference planes and geometry is the way to go.Check your snap increments from Manage tabSettings panel (Snaps).
