Sloped grazing brick pattern

Is there any way to make a custom pattern for the sloped glazing ? I would like to have it in a brick pattern instead of a square pattern. Custom pattern line below.

brick running bond
;%TYPE=MODEL
0, 0, 0, 0, 600
90, 0, 0, 600, 300, 600, -600

I was thoroughly confused what you were asking at first... thought i was looking at a plan of a patio or something.

My first response which i'm submitting cause why not:

I think you are just asking how to make a custom sized brick pattern? If so... try out our Brick Running Bond Calculator which will output the values for you automatically from set inputs. Once done, just click [Download] at the top and load into your file.

You'll need a free account, and we're in a limited beta, so you'll need a registration code: sprinkles19

My response after re-reading 5 times:

Yes. If you are working with a conceptual mass family, you can manipulate the surface automatically to be a divided surface with parameters (and a couple different automatic pattern styles).

Sorta - If you are in a project with a normal curtain wall system, you'll have to do quite a bit of manual work removing segments. You can remove both your grid A and grid B and then copy them around though within the wall.

And if you make a custom family you could obviously do this and set up parameters to auto-array, but i'm guessing you're not doing that.

Regardless, i'd use a PAT to represent until you are ready to start outputting renderings or 3D views for further investigation, otherwise you'll be constantly re-doing a lot of work (considering how small your grid is).

I think that is what you were asking?

Do you just need the model pattern or do you need mullions follow the pattern? If the latter, try a mass with a divided surface, choose the pattern from the properties and edit UV to match your dims. Then create a pattern based curtain panel family using the same pattern, load it in and assign it to the divided surface.

I just need the surface divided into a brick pattern so that I could schedule the panels. Is that possible ?

If all else fails, you could just use a Calculated Parameter in Schedule to find the number of brick units needed.

Do you think this surface pattern will help you?

Requirements

1. Based on in-place mass, and then editing the surface

2. Pattern-based Revit Family, massing and insert that family in the project.

select the surface of mass, and apply surface pattern and edit it further.. change dimension, angle, size etc.select the surface of mass, and apply surface pattern and edit it further.. change dimension, angle, size etc.Various default pattern available to edit the dimensions .Various default pattern available to edit the dimensions .
