Sloped Ceiling visibility

Has anyone run into problems with visibility when placing sloped ceilings? Flat ceilings show up in the reflected ceiling plan and sections just fine, but if I add a slope to a ceiling, it disappears in the RCP and in section. I've tried changing the size/shape/ceiling type - nothing makes a difference. I've used sloped ceilings in other projects without a problem, but I can't find any difference in the settings in this project that would cause the ceilings to disappear only when sloped. When they disappear, they don't even show up as hidden in the hidden elements view.

Any thoughts?

Just guessing at a possibility...

Did you create a Level just to host the ceiling? Is the ceiling placed right on that Level with no offset, or a positive offset? Is the slope implimented in such a way that the lowest point of the ceiling is at or above that Level?

The RCP, at least by default, only looks up to the Level Above. I think. And possibly your Section views are cropped at that ceiling Level as well.

Like I said...just a guess.

Actually - I figured it out yesterday by accident. The ceiling was set at a level and base offset, but apparently when you slope the ceiling, you have to set the level a second time. Once you're inside the sketch and select the roof line to slope, it resets to 0'-0" - so you have to set the level and offset from base a second time. Strange, I know, but it works. This doesn't seem to be an issue with roof forms, although those are often sloped so maybe the defaults are different.
