As I drag my mouse across the floor... my model is unresponsive.. This is only happening in this one model. The same mouse, the same computer, in a different model, my mouse is behaving well.
What's up with my mouse
I'd post a screen cast if i could figure out how

What do you mean by "drag your mouse across the floor"? Are you clicking and dragging an element? Try toggling the "drag elements on selection" option on the bottom right.
I mean... when you move your mouse across the model, it is supposed to "high-light" individual elements in the model as it passes over them... Somehow, this feature was turned off in one of my models..
I highly doubt it has something to do with your mouse.
Are objects pinned? Toggle the option two to the left, "Select Pinned Elements".
agreed.. it has nothing to do with the mouse... everything to do with the model..
Nothing is pinned.
So you're still able to select elements, they just aren't highlighting when you hover over them?
exactly.... but only in 3D mode.. seems to work fine when viewing a plan or elevation
update...
seems to have something to do with that 3D view.. other 3D views in same model are working fine.
solution might be to just delete this view and create another, but i would really like to know what happened.. or did i just stumble across a new feature that i knew nothing about.
OK... Im assuming that "face selection" would be a view property since its working differently in other views..
Now I've learned so much about revit by stumbling into rooms that I didnt know were there.. I'm looking for the face selection option to toggle..
Do you have a Background in your 3D View? If so, set it to none and test mouse again.
that didnt fix it... I can turn on "face selection".. but the view still behaves the same...
It seems the view itself is corrupted.. There is another issue with this view that I will share in a different thread as it is acting wierd in more than one way..
no background.. just a hidden line drawing.
I knew I could count on you.... Merry Christmas... (there is a cat outside...!)
Just delete and create a new 3D view. Or share the model with the corrupted view if you want.
I have already created a new view and deleted the old one.. The same view was corrupt at another level also... showing the elements in a slightly semi-transparancy... I''d share the model, but then... I'd have to... well.. you know.
