Skylights and oblique objects

I have found one insumountable problem in Revit. When I cut through a [e.g.] skylight in plan [or sectionally from the front]. it gives me the entire unit projecting above my cutplane. I suppose it does not understand it as a plan element so for the time being I am patching over it, but this is, of course, an imperfect solution.

Similarly, in a tall roof that I cut through [plan again], I do not wish to see the whole roof below, but it appears past my view depth.

Has anyone else run into these issues with oblique objects, and do you have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Possibly use Plan Regions to turn off the display of items below your cut plane? not sure if this will eork, but give it a try. Thanks for your reply, Scott,

While, it didn't solve the skylight issue, it did answer another curiosity of mine about having to balance the cut plane to see under the roof, while picking up windows.

The problem with the skylight [oblique] cut is that it denies the view range parameters.

It is a funny thing, and I will keep on trying.
