Hello.
I am currently setting up few things for where I work.
In the past iv seen many ways of making things to get the same result.
Im wanting to set up Skirting Tiles, Splash backs and Full Height Tiles. Iv seen them be made in many different ways, as a (10mm) Thick wall / Sweeps attached to a wall / Line Based Generic Model. Just wanted to get a second opinion on what others have used or using which they find best.
As always open to other suggestions that have also worked for you.

Yep, there's a lot of approaches to this, depending on the surface. Building them into walls as a layer or sweep is one approach. Building them into the casework families is another. Modeling them in-place works too. There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach. We use several methods in the same project. Sometimes even the paint tool.
yeah trying to decipher what will work best. for example in our Master Ensuite 99% of the time ALL walls will be with full height tiles so adding a layer to the walls would work best. however in the Bathrooms the Shower will have 2400H tiles then the rest of the walls 100H Skirting tiles that i could just use with a sweep. its just having multiple of the same walls i guess.
Is there a way you can set a Yes/No Parameter on say a 90mm Stud wall for when the wall face is the internal of a bathroom to turn on a sweep for extra layer?
Also i have created a Generic Model line based Splashback with 300X600 tile Pattern.
When itd in the project however im unable to align the tiles how i want them. when i align it the whole component moves instead of the pattern. Pattern is a Model Pattern?
Besides the point here, but make sure you go with office flow which sometimes can be slow and stupid. Don't think even you have checked with bim manager and proj manager is enough. If you are new, they can let you go with "he works differently from us". It happened to me.
