Sketchup to Revit - Adding Texture/ Paint to Models

Hey there. I use both programs. When sending SKP into Revit, I tried exporting as IFC. The model comes into Revit quite well, however, there is no way to paint or add texture. The IFC reads as 'generic model', and when using the paint tool it does not register the faces of the polygon as places to apply paint.

Any tips?

I would export sketchup to OBJ and import the OBJ into Revit. This will allows you to have texture add into Revit.

There is no native OBJ import. What plugin do you recommend?

Which Revit version are you using? Revit 2022 or above allows you to import OBJ.

Interesting. Can Revit 24 LT read Formit file? That is another way to bring in Sketchup with Texture. Formit is Autodesk version of Sketchup. It will read sketchup file and you can bring that directly into Revit.
