Size Problem when Importing CAD to Revit

I am new to Revit, and I am trying to link a CAD file to Revit so that I can easily trace over it to make a 3D model. But when the file is placed the dimensions are way off, and the floorplan is much too big. The file is treated as a single object that I can move, but can't resize. How could I fix this?

The CAD and Revit units should be matched the same.

You need to open the CAD file and check if the Units from CAD and Revit are the same.

To move the imported object, first you need to UNPIN (UP) the CAD file. This command was located under Modify Tab > Modify Panel.

You should have chosen the correct Import Units when you imported the file.  Now, you can fix it by select the CAD file, Edit Type from properties, then choose the Units and Scale factor.
