Site Designer : Selected object is not supported

Hello, when i wanted to use Site Designer to draw roads, the error "Selected object is not supported" showed up.

I created a topography first so I don't understand why this doesn't work.

How can I fix it ?

"Selected object is not supported"???  Do you mean "Selected Object Is Not a Host Line"?  If not, need more information. Maybe provide a workflow that we can reproduce at our end.   Some screenshots wouldn't hurt.

You are not by chance trying to mix Revit-based site elements with Site Designer elements?  I can see where this would throw a "Selected object is not supported" error message.

The thing is that I followed the exact tutorial you linked.
These are some screenshots of the differents steps (sorry for the french Revit) :

1. I created my topography and named it "Surface existante", also its phase is "existing phase'. (Like it is mentioned in the tutorial).

2. I am using the tool "Set base toposurface" to create a new toposurface that is named "Surface étudiée" and its phase is "New construction"

3. In Revit, I only show my new toposurface "Surface étudiée" using this filter :

 4. I select the "street" tool with these parameters in Site Designer :

5. This shows up when I try to click on my toposurface "Surface étudiée" to put my roads :

I watched tons of videos showing how to use Site Designer and I don't know what to do at this point. I surely forgot something but I can't tell what...

Looking at the forth image, you have selected "Use an Existing Host Line" … If you have no host lines to host the street element it will pop up that error.

1. Either set up the hots lines before you use Site Designer (can use model lines for example)

2. Either select the option "Draw Host Line"
