Hi
I want to set Show/hide trigger shortcut for linked cad file. How can it be done?
Tx
Revit 18
Two options:
1. right-click, hide in view...
2. insert the cad into a generic annotation family with visibility parameter instead of into the project directly.
no lisp-like for revit?
Here's one way:
What do you mean by a "Trigger"? Are you looking to assign a Quick Key command to hide cad links?
The closest thing Revit has to Lisp/Script is using a Dynamo script or editing the API. but that is a little overkill for just turning off CAD Links. Just do like @RobDraw showed and turn it off the imported categories.
There is also the Macro Manager, but I haven't had a lot of luck with it personally.

ow lol, forgot that one which would be #0
edit: advantage of #2 might be that you can hide a cad file in all views, unrelated to view templates/views, for instance using globals.
Here's two more:
This is one of my most used option for view settings. A view template can be applied temporarily without the need to switch it back. Just turn off the temp override.
