Hello members of autodesk forum,

I use Revit 2021.1.6 and I create a plan with some viewports of section views. Now the frames of these viewports are not visible. What can I do to make the frames of these viewports visible? Thanks in advance.

Hello ToanDN,

thanks for your answer. Yes I checked the checkbox "Crop Region Visible". But no frame is shown.

I attached a screenshot from the present layout:

and a screenshot with the activated and visible Crop Region Lines:

and the desired layout with a constructed frame by detail lines:

But nevertheless its much more faster and comfortable to use a build in function wich is doing this work automaticely, if is available.

Only View Crop Region can be visible. Annotation Crop cannot be visible unless you highlight the view crop.

If the frame dimensions are fixed (or standardized), you can add it to the View Title Family, create different View Title types for different sizes.

Sounds good. In that case is an option for making the frame visible available?

Yes.  Because the frame is drawn in the View Title family so it is Visible unless you want it not to.  Optionally, you can assign a visibility parameter to the frame and and create a type with it visible and a type with it invisible.

And which frame you mean especially? Is it the frame from the viewport?

No. It is the box drawn in the View Title Family.

Thanks. But when I click on the button "Edit Type" in the family "Viewport" there is no option for the frame. Enclosed I attached a screenshot of the window which is shown when I was clicking on the button "Edit Type".
