At elevation view, I saw a window family when some part of it is covered by masking region Revit shows that part by dash lines. how is it possible?

It is possible. please take a look at the screencast the masking region only works for this window family also it is the only making which can do this feature!

I wonder if a series of symbolic lines were drawn in the family. Then they might show through a mask applied? Would have thought that would have been masked too, but maybe there is a way to keep it in front?
This is accomplished using the Show-Hidden-Lines tool on the View-Tab.
