Sheet shared parameter (label) that doesn't work as default ones

Hello everyone.

Probably the question I have is not that big of a deal, but so far, I have not been able to solve it.

While creating a couple of parametric families for the company I work for (A project directory and a standardized sheet), I realized that I needed some specific labels to save time when starting and creating a new project I.E: Engineers’ company name, partner project number, etc. But problem comes up when, after the labels are created as shared parameters and are properly inserted in the template for new projects, they do not work as the default labels I.E: Once the label is assigned with its corresponding text, all the places where the label appears will display the same text.

So... Long story short... Mine do not work like that and I must modify them one by one (Which is not what's pursued for efficiency's sake).

In images 1 and 2 you can find circled in red the created shared parameter placed in the different families, which does not work as the one circle in blue (Changes in both families once modified in one of them).

There is no 'default' label value. What you see are just sample values for the labels so you can organize them visually.

You need to make a new project parameter in the project using the shared parameter in the titleblock family and then assign it to the category you want and then make sure that "Values are aligned by group type" is checked.

Hi @Mike.FORM, did it the way told me, but the result still the same.

Even though both families have the same label, made with the same shared parameter. When I place them withing the project they still show different text's (after being assigned with it within the project). So if in the project directory I type "Project", I don't see the same in the labels placed in the sheet family.

Don't assign the parameter to the sheets when adding project parameters. Add it to Project Info.

@mhiserZFHXS  Thank you! That was it. Now it's working as expected
