Sharing Views/Viewports between projects

Hi,

I have a remodel project. I have modeled the existing conditions and placed the 1st and 2nd level floor plans onto a sheet. I then did a "save as" of the project to then modify the model for the new/proposed layout.

I would like to simply put a viewport from the proposed (new layout) floor plans onto the sheet in the original (existing) project. Basically so both the existing and proposed floor plans live on the same sheet.

Thanks for any help on this!

You cannot "share" model views between Projects. You would need to Link one into the other and recreate the Model Views. However, my suggestion to you would be to model both existing and new/proposed construction within the same Project using Phasing workflow.

How to control the display of elements based on their phase status in Revit (autodesk.com)

Thanks for the reply.
I was afraid that was the answer. As an Intermediate user, my attempts at
phasing has been frustrating. While I realize some things in phasing are
customizable, it still seems to be quite rigid in ways to communicate what
I want. Guess I need to learn it better.
