f I try to use the collaborate "shared views" and create a new shared view with a project that has design options it comes up with the following error "unable to process shared view"
Now I tried this with a small model to rule out the first possibility and also did this from a fresh reboot with heaps of memory and disk space. This is only happening with projects with design options so I am presuming that the former is incompatible with shared views.
Could anyone shed some light on this?
Appreciate your help.

I have no issues creating Shared Views from a project with Design Options. I am using Revit 2022 with the latest update.
Hi @ToanDN, thank you for this information, much appreciated.
I have delved into this a bit deeper using Revit 2022 and 2023 and have concluded that it's as you mention not design options that's causing the problem.
I'm a little stumped, it doesnt seem to be file size related as it works on some large files 200MB etc but not others e.g. a shared view on a family file also caused the same error.
It might be the overall memory on the PC, I don't know. I just know if it is not reliable I won't be able to use it.
