Shared Parameters Changing Revit Family Groups when Inserted

When I am working with family model, and have organized all my parameters into groups.

As soon as I load it into a project, parameters change group and goes from identity data to other and vice versa.

Is there a way to lock parameters to the group I set?

For example,

I dont want my Dimension to be in group Other. And I dont want my Data to be in in group Text.

It does not seem to be a way to change this without making a new family, or does that not work either?

How do I fix this?

Could it be that the first time you loaded the family it had that group distribution and is keeping it for you? I would try to delete the family from the project, from the project browser, Families, delete the family. Then load the family with the groups fine, and check if you keep changing them.

I had a previous loaded family into the project that the shared parameter was placed into a different group.

Project always have priorities over parameters placement.

Solution I did was to create a schedule where I loaded the parameters into the groups that I wanted, which ultimate changed it to how I wanted for all families loaded into the project.

Quoting if someone is looking for details on the solution:

"I know this is a super old post but I thought I would post the work around in case anyone else is looking for it.
You can do this through scheduling. Schedule the item and go to" fields". Find the parameter you want to change in either "available" or "scheduled" fields and click "edit". Change the Group parameter in the "parameter data" box and put a check in "add to all elements in the selected categories" and then put a check in the "category" area next to the items the shared parameter affects, hit ok to close the edit box and ok to the schedule properties.
Check your family, it should now show the parameter in the grouping you moved it to. You can delete the schedule you just created after without affecting the grouping."
